Based in our Glasgow office, Calum joined LexLeyton in May 2021.
Having initially studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Edinburgh, Calum completed the accelerated LLB at the University of Strathclyde, qualifying as a Scottish Solicitor in November 2020 having trained exclusively in Employment Law.
With a commercial and pragmatic approach to Employment Law issues, Calum seeks to build on a deep understanding of his clients’ unique contexts to deliver legal solutions to challenges when they arise, and inform proactive recommendations leading to a reduction in future business risk.
Calum worked with a wide range of employers from large manufacturing and retail PLCs to small professional services companies. With a significant focus on advising employers in the manufacturing, hospitality and retail sectors as well as broad experience in working with care homes, charities and GP practices, Calum has supported businesses across a wide range of employment law issues including disciplinaries and grievances, settlement agreements, contractual disputes and discrimination, redundancy/ restructures and equal pay.
A member of the Law Society of Scotland and the Employment Lawyers Association, in his spare time Calum enjoys walking his two large dogs, cooking and (attempting to) play the guitar.
