Isobel Washington


Isobel’s expansive employment law career since qualifying as a solicitor in 2009 includes a range of HR, consultancy, and legal business partner roles across a wide range of industries and support services to include Unison, Unite and Citation Professional Solutions.

From representing trade union members in the private and public sectors to SMEs and multi-national organisations, Isobel applies a holistic, pragmatic and commercial approach to identifying and enabling HR and employment law solutions informed by deep personal understanding of the operating pressures facing HR teams and business managers.

With a particular interest in the medical devices, adult social care and housing sector, Isobel’s experience includes advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy , settlement agreements and exit strategies, restructures , whistleblowing and TUPE , negotiations and employment tribunals, alongside day to day ‘business as usual’ HR strategy and issues management.

A member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association, in her spare time Isobel enjoys spending time in her garden, painting and walking her springer spaniel.
