Jo Mackie is a Senior Associate who trained at Legal 100 firm Mills & Reeve. She has been working as an Employment Lawyer for over a decade, both in private practice and as senior advisor to HM Government advising various departments including the Cabinet office on all aspects of employment law.
Jo's specialist and wide ranging practice covers both contentious and non-contentious work and includes representation of clients in complex cases in the Employment Tribunal, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the High Court.
CIPD qualified, a trained mediator and a practicing Justice of the Peace, Jo is commercially minded and solutions focussed. A member of the Law Society Working Group on Non-Disclosure Agreements which advises government on changes to legislation, as well as being a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, Jo’s experience is highly valued in her role as a trusted business partner to enterprises of all shapes and sizes.
In her spare time Jo enjoys socialising, family, travelling and is a devoted Mum to her teenage daughter. They can often be found over indulging in retail therapy together. A keen oil painter, triathlete and 10k runner Jo is committed to raising money for her favourite charity, Breast Cancer Now.
