Since his qualification in 2012 Simon has practised exclusively in the field of Employment Law and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Employment Law.
Having focussed for the last several years on acting only for employers, Simon’s approach to supporting businesses in developing their people management strategies and dealing with their HR and employment law challenges is also informed by his substantial litigation experience representing employees whilst at leading trade union practice Digby Brown.
Simon’s commercial approach to advising clients is underpinned by a focus on creating and maintaining a trusted partnership enabling a relationship that allows him to minimise employee issues, build efficiencies for clients and to help companies build sustainable businesses.
Having acted across a wide range of industries and companies ranging from SMEs to publically listed companies, Simon has a particular interest in manufacturing, healthcare and financial markets, along with care companies and charitable organisations.
A member of the Law Society of Scotland and the Employment Lawyers Association, in his spare time Simon is a Director of a major Scottish care charity and finds time to try, and fail, at many sports.
